It’s (vintage) Festival time!

21 Apr

With only 4 days to go until the massive Festival of Vintage at York Racecourse, I am working away in my teeny, tiny studio prepping, mounting and framing as many different genres of vintage, French images as is possible – and there are many, there really are. I’ll be spanning the whole first half of the 20th century with my collection of images this weekend, plus a bit of the 60s and 70s for good measure.

I’ll also be dragging out my old crates, tins, glassware and an assortment of beautiful and battered French homewares as these always prove really popular.

My much loved Vintage School Posters will be coming out with me for the first time en masse and I’m currently trying to figure out how to display them on a 6ft by 8ft stall…mmm, any ideas?!

It will be a fun family day out and children go free. Tickets for entry on Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th are just £10 each, available from the Festival of Vintage website. With dancing, live music, classic cars and over 200 vintage stalls it’s going to be a good one, so come along!
